A WARM GLASGOW WELCOME AWAITS YOU
At The Clydeside Distillery, family has always been at the heart of the story.
Founded by father and son Tim and Andrew Morrison, the distillery is built on shared passion, tradition and a lifelong connection to Scotch whisky. Today, Andrew Morrison leads The Clydeside as Managing Director, continuing a legacy that his father helped shape from the very beginning.
While The Clydeside Distillery itself is one of Scotland’s newer distilleries, the Morrison family’s experience and heritage within the Scotch whisky industry stretches back generations — built over more than a century of whisky brokering, blending and distilling.
A Family Rooted in Scotch Whisky
The Morrison family has played an important role in the Scotch whisky industry for generations. Their story stretches back more than 100 years, from whisky brokering and blending in Glasgow to the ownership of some of Scotland’s best-known distilleries, including Bowmore Distillery, Glen Garioch Distillery and Auchentoshan Distillery.
That connection to whisky runs deep, but for the Morrisons, it has always been about more than the spirit itself. It’s about people, shared experiences and the moments that stay with you over time.
Much like a great single malt, the strongest legacies are built slowly: shaped by patience, character and craftsmanship, then passed carefully from one generation to the next.
More Than Whisky
While whisky has always been part of the Morrison family story, some of Tim and Andrew’s fondest memories have been made on the golf course.
Andrew still remembers countless rounds played side by side with his father over the years. In time, the game became about far more than golf itself — it was about shared time, conversation, and the quiet lessons in patience and perspective passed naturally from father to son.
Today, that same love of golf is being passed on again to the next generation, with Tim now sharing those moments with his grandchildren as well.
Much like whisky itself, it’s often the traditions, stories and time shared together over the years that stay with you most.
Continuing the Story on the Clyde
Housed within the historic former Pumphouse of Glasgow’s Queen’s Dock, The Clydeside Distillery represents both heritage and progress — a continuation of the city’s long connection to craftsmanship, trade and Scotch whisky.
Today, that family story continues with every bottle produced at the distillery.
From the docks that once connected Glasgow to the world, to the shared moments created over a dram, The Clydeside remains rooted in the values it was built upon: family, character and a passion for whisky made with care.
